SUMMARY:The Future of Wall Art: From Digital Prints to Sustainable Designs
DESCRIPTION:The wall art market is undergoing a remarkable transformation as consumer preferences shift toward personalization\, sustainability\, and digital innovation. Once limited to traditional paintings and framed photographs\, wall décor has now evolved into a dynamic industry that blends creativity\, technology\, and eco-consciousness to meet the needs of modern lifestyles. \nOne of the most significant trends shaping the future of wall art is the rise of digital prints and downloadable art. With the growth of e-commerce platforms and print-on-demand services\, consumers can easily purchase digital files\, customize them to suit their spaces\, and print them at home or through local vendors. This not only makes wall art more affordable and accessible but also reduces shipping and packaging waste. \nAt the same time\, sustainability has become a central focus in the wall art industry. Eco-friendly materials such as recycled paper\, bamboo frames\, and water-based inks are gaining popularity as buyers increasingly seek décor that aligns with their environmental values. Artists and brands are also experimenting with upcycled materials and biodegradable products\, offering unique and responsible alternatives to mass-produced décor. \nThe commercial sector is another driver of innovation. Offices\, hospitality spaces\, and retail outlets are investing in large-scale murals\, interactive digital installations\, and themed wall décor to enhance customer experiences and reflect brand identity. These creative solutions demonstrate how wall art is expanding beyond homes and becoming integral to business environments. \nPersonalization remains a key growth factor. Consumers today prefer wall art that tells their story whether through custom portraits\, inspirational quotes\, or bespoke designs tailored to their interiors. Digital tools and online platforms now enable artists and businesses to offer highly personalized experiences\, bridging the gap between creativity and consumer demand. \nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Telegram (Opens in new window)\n Telegram\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)\n WhatsApp\n \n Share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window)\n Nextdoor\n \n Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)\n Email

SUMMARY:Fomitopsis mounceae (red belted polypore mushroom) trituration workshop
DESCRIPTION:Suggested donation: $50\nThis event does qualify for CEU credits. A certificate will be emailed upon request\, with a min. donation of $50. \n\n\nWith Sonya McLeod\, Classical Homeopath and author of “The Art of Proving” (Saltire Books\, 2020). \nThis is a lively hands-on workshop\, requiring the active participation of all workshop members. Conversation between all participants will be highly encouraged. \nDuring this workshop\, we will explore the process of making the Fomitopsis mounceae (red belted polypore) mushroom into a homeopathic remedy\, starting with a small amount of the substance\, sourced locally. Using a mortar and pestle and lactose powder\, participants will learn the ancient science and art of homeopathic trituration\, first invented by Samuel Hahnemann\, the founder of homeopathy. Once the workshop is complete\, participants will have the knowledge and confidence to make their own homeopathic remedies in the future\, if they so desire. \nFomitopsis mounceae is the most common conk mushroom in the Pacific Northwest. It is closely related to Fomitopsis pinicola which is found in Europe and has a long history of medicinal use. The Fomitopsis mounceae fungus is found mainly on dead aspen and conifer trees. It is a major factor in the production of brown rot residues that are a stable soil component in coniferous forest ecosystems. \nDuring this trituration\, we will also be exploring the healing properties of homeopathic red belted polypore\, mainly through art\, as well as through conversation and journaling. \nThis event is open to professionals as well as to laypeople. To understand more about trituration provings\, please visit the Homeopathic Trituration Proving FAQ \nParticipants should bring their own mortar and pestle if they have one\, journals and/or art materials. Extra supplies will be provided as needed. \nThis event will take place in person at 351 E. 39th Ave in Vancouver\, BC\, Canada. To RSVP or to find out more details\, please call 604-677-7742 or email LM*********@***il.com. \nPlease note that there will be an optional field trip (free of charge) for all interested participants\, to source the mushroom before the proving. Date TBD. Please let me know if you are interested in attending the field when you RSVP. The field trip will take place in North Vancouver and though it will be a relatively short hike\, you must be able to navigate some steep terrain. \nReferences and Further Reading\nE-Flora BC: Electronic Atlas of the Flora of British Columbia.
